2007 KL World Marching Band Competition

Menyambut Visit Malaysia 2007, di ibukota negara Kuala Lumpur akan diadakan lomba marching band berskala internasional untuk pertama kalinya.

Waktu : 9-16 Desember 2007
Tempat : Outdoor Stadium

Sambil menunggu konfirmasi peserta dari America/Eropa, akan tampil band-band terbaik dari beberapa negara asia, seperti dari Thailand diharapkan hadir 3 serangkai band papan atasnya : Bodindecha-Attawit-Watsuttivararam dan 2 band langganan Juara Nasional dari Jepang : Soka-Aimachi. Judging sytem akan diambil dari WAMSB.

Inilah saat paling tepat untuk membuktikan siapa band terbaik di tingkat internasional. Siapa mewakili Indonesia di ajang bergengsi ini ?

PARTICIPATION DETAILS

• Participation Fees

A participation fee of USD 5 per person is imposed on all participating bands.
The fee only applies to performing members of the band. A deposit of USD200
has to be paid upon confirmation of participation.

• Accommodation

All participating bands are housed at 3-star and above rated hotels in Kuala
Lumpur. The cost of board and lodging are :

– 3-star rated hotel plus 3 meals a day : USD40 per person per day
– 4-star rated hotel plus 3 meals a day : USD50 per person per day

The above charges are based on twin-sharing basis.

• Transportation

All transportation from the KL International Airport to hotels, and from hotels
to all performing venues are provided at NO EXTRA CHARGES. However, additional
tours or excursions can be requested but extra charges will be incurred.

• Datelines

Confirmation of Participation : 28 February 2007
together with payment of deposit of USD200

Full payment of Participation Fees : 30 April 2007

Full payment for accommodation : 30 June 2007

• Judging

Judging will be conducted by a jury of a minimum of five international judges.
Judges are all accredited by the World Association of Marching Show Bands. They
will be selected from different regions of the world.

• Prize-giving Ceremony

At the end of each competition day the results of the day will be proclaimed,
preceded by a parade of all contest participants.

Awards

The following prizes will be given out for the SHOW COMPETITION :-

• Open Category

Overall Winner : Championship Trophy and USD10,000
1st Runner-up : Trophy and USD5,000
2nd Runner-up : Trophy and USD2,500

• Local Bands Category

Winner : Trophy and USD5,000
1st Runner-up : Trophy and USD3,000
2nd Runner-up : Trophy and USD1,500

• The following prizes will be given out for the PARADE COMPETITION :-

Winner : Championship Trophy and USD3,000
1st Runner-up : Trophy and USD2,000
2nd Runner-up : Trophy and USD1,000
